I'm an award-winning producer, editorial strategist, and multimedia storyteller based in Brooklyn, New York. I develop and lead audio, documentary, and multimedia stories that help people better understand one another, translating complex ideas into compelling, human-centered narratives.
Today, I serve as Associate Director of Production at StoryCorps Studios, where I lead editorial strategy and creative production for a portfolio of national partners, overseeing multimedia projects from concept through publication. My work has included award-winning collaborations with organizations including FRONTLINE, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Innocence Project, and the New York Public Library. Along the way, I've helped build production systems, lead creative teams, and shape stories that reach audiences across audio, video, and digital platforms.
Outside of StoryCorps, I created and host Our New York Table, an independent documentary podcast exploring food, identity, and community through the people who gather around New York City's tables. I lead every aspect of the show—from reporting and interviewing to writing, editing, sound design, audience growth, and live events—growing the audience by 180% between its first two seasons.
Before moving into journalism and production, I spent more than a decade in education and nonprofit leadership, working as a public school teacher, curriculum designer, and national program director while freelancing as a photographer. That experience continues to shape how I approach storytelling: with curiosity, empathy, and a deep belief that stories can build understanding across communities.
I earned an M.A. in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, an M.A. in Art, Education & Community Practice from New York University, and a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Originally from Wisconsin, I spent seven years living, teaching, and running through the redwoods of the Bay Area before eventually making my way to Brooklyn. These days, you'll usually find me trying a new recipe with friends, belting out karaoke, exploring New York's neighborhoods with my dog Milo, or planning my next outdoor adventure.
